What to Expect

Java – is the heartland of Indonesia. Lying southeast of Malaysia and Sumatera, south of Kalimantan and west of Bali; it is the fifth-largest island in  Indonesia, yet the most densely populated. What you will do

Day 1 Arrival Yogyakarta – Prambanan Temple  (No Meals)

Upon your arrival at Adisucipto International Airport in Yogyakarta, your assigned guide will be waiting at arrival hall to directly escort you on a chauffeured vehicle to visit the compound of Prambanan Temple the largest Hindu temple compound in Indonesia, dedicated to the three great Hindu divinities Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma. Afterwards, transfer to your hotel of choice located in the city center. Check-in then have a restful evening.

Day 2 Yogyakarta City Tour  (B/L)

After breakfast, get ready to embark on a full-day excursion to unfold the history and culture of the city. Visit the 18th-century Sultanate’s palace of Kraton Ngayogyakarta  Hadiningrat          and the former royal garden of the Sultanate Tamansari Water Castle. Proceed to visit a Batik Workshop and to try your skill in making your own piece of batik. Authentic Javanese cuisine for lunch will be served at one of the best restaurants in the city. After observing intricate silver jewelry in the making in Kotagede, proceed to explore Malioboro Street on foot. Overnight at your choice of hotel  (Choose between Standard/Superior /Deluxe

Day 3 Borobudur Sunrise – Candirejo Village  (B/L/D)

Wake up before the break of dawn then transfer to Magelang to visit the biggest Buddhist monument in the world, the Borobudur a UNESCO World Heritage Site and enjoy the sunrise from the top of the temple. A short drive to follow, will get you to a local village of Candirejo where you will continue for a village tour on a delman or andong horse carriage. The village tour is part of Natural Resources Management for Local Community Empowerment project and it will provide you insight of local customs and traditions, art and handicrafts, agricultural system of intercropping. After lunch, transfer back to your hotel and the remainder of the day is free at leisure.

Day 4 Departure Yogyakarta  (B)

Check out in the morning, then transfer directly to the airport for your onward flight home with wonderful memories.
