Day 1 Baku:


Meeting by English speaking guide at the airport.

Transfer to the hotel.


Day 2 Baku:


Let’s start excursion Panoramic view of Baku from Highland Park.

Visit Icheri Sheher (Old City, UNESCO site). The “Baku Acropolis”, “Old Town”, “Inner Town” – these are the names for this unique historical ensemble located right in the center of Baku. “Icheri Sheher” is the heart of the city. It was the place, on the hill by the very sea, where ancient Baku was originated.  The territory of Icheri Sheher was inhabited with people as early as in the Bronze Age and by the VIII-XI centuries it had been completely populated.

Visiting Maiden tower (IX century), Shirvanshakhs Palace (XV century), Karvansarai Multani and Bukhara (XV century), places where Soviet movie “Brilliant hand” was filmed, Amphibian Man, Tehran 43 and so on.

Visiting Shirvanshah’s Palace. Shirvan Dynasty Palace Complex is a jewel in the crown of Azerbaijani architecture. It was erected there in the XV century.

Visiting Ateshgah. “Fire Temple of Baku” is a castle-like religious temple based on Persian and Indian inscriptions, the Zoroastrian place of worship. Although the site was originally a place of worship for Zoroastrians, the fortified complex you see today was built by XVIII century Indian Shiva devotees.

Proceed with visiting Yanar Dag (Burning Mountain). Burning Mountain is considered as “eternal fire” and fulfills the trip with unique and interesting experience. In the XIII century Marco Polo mentioned numerous natural-gas flames spurting spontaneously from the Absheron Peninsula.


Day 3 Baku – Gobustan:

Breakfast. Transfer to Gobustan. Museum of Petroglyphs is another name for Gobustan – a mountainous place in the southeast of the Major Caucasian ridge located 60 km from Baku . The archaeologists found there the ancient sites of primitive people who left behind numerous rock drawings – Petroglyphs. This primitive art displays the culture, economy, outlooks, customs and traditions of ancient people. The Unescolisted Qobustan Petroglyph Reserve protects thousands of stick-figure stone engravings dating back up to 12,000 years.

Transfer back to Baku.

Visitinig Bibi Heybet Mosque, which was built in 1990 in imitation of another built in the thirteenth           century where Imam Huseyn’s sister was buried (one of the main figures in Islam)

Visiting the Museum of Carpets. The only museum that was dedicated to the art of carpet weaving.

Coming to Baku Boulevard

Visiting Little Venice.


Day 4 Baku – Guba:

Breakfast. Transfer to Gabala. Gabala is the most ancient city of Azerbaijan.The top provincial holiday centre of Azerbaijan, Gabala is considered a popular tourist destination due to the combination of a very good spring climate, mountainous landscape, and diverse fauna. Gabala was the ancient capital of Caucasian Albania. Archeological evidence indicates that the city functioned as the capital of Caucasian Albania as early as 4th century BC. The Ruins of the ancient town are situated 15 km from the regional center, allocated on the territory between Garachay and Jourluchay rivers. Gabala was located in the middle of the 2,500-year-old Silk Road.

On the way drive to Maraza for visiting Sufi Dervish Diri Baba Mousaleum. Visiting Mosque in Shemakha concerns to IX century.

Arriving in Gabala.

Visiting Nohur Gol (Nohur Lake). The lake is surrounded by a forest, you can walk around the lake. Here you can relax, even sailboat on the lake.


Day 5 Gabala-Sheki:

Breakfast. Departure from the hotel.

Visiting Chukhur excavation. Ongoing excavations near the village Chukhur confirm that Gabala from IV – III centuries BC and up to the XVIII century was one of the major cities with developed trade and crafts.During excavations in the ancient city were found the remains of constructions and the base of the barn presumably for food storage.

Visiting Albanian church in the village Nidzh. The village of Nidzh , not far from Gabala, is known for a unique architectural monument of the Caucasian Albania – Udin Temple. The udins are absolutely special ethnic group who are considered descendants of Alabanians (only 10,000 of them left). The restored temple was constructed in theXVII – XVIII centuries on the site of an ancient Albanian church which had been built at will Saint Eliseus – the Christian ecclesiast and educator honored in the Caucasian Albania.

Transfer to Sheki. The city of Sheki is located 380 km to the west of Baku close to Georgian border. There are traces of large-scale settlements in Sheki dating back to more than 2700 years ago. The Sakas were an Iranian people that wandered from the north side of the Black Sea through Derbend passage and to the South Caucasus and from there to Asia Minor in the 7th century B.C. They occupied a good deal of the fertile lands in South Caucasus in an area called Sakasena. The city of Shaki was one of the areas occupied by the Sakas. The original settlement dates back to the late Bronze Age.Sheki was one of the biggest cities of the Albanian states in the 1st century. The main temple of the ancient Albanians was located there. The kingdom of Sheki was divided into 11 administrative provinces.

Arriving in Sheki.

Visiting the Palace of Sheki Khans – the palace erected in the XVIII century without a single nail (!) with magnificent wall paintings and tracery windows in the stone citadel.  This ornate 1762 palace building features vivid murals and dazzling coloured light streaming through Shabaka(stained-glass) windows making it Sheki’s foremost ‘sight’.

Visiting Albanian church in the village Kish. The brilliantly renovated round-towered Albanian church in pretty Kish village has been lovingly converted into a very wellpresented trilingual museum. It’s the best place anywhere to learn about mysterious Caucasian Albania, the Christian nation that once covered most of northern Azerbaijan.


Day 6 Sheki- Baku:

Breakfast. Departure from the hotel.

Visiting shabaka workshop.

Visiting  Ali- Ahmeds sweet shop.

Visiting the mausoleum of the seven domes is the Shemakha burial vault of the Shirvan rulers. Here are buried the noble representatives of the Shirvanshah dynasty.

Proceed on going back to Baku.

Arriving. Check in to the hotel.

Day 7 Baku:


Visiting Heydar Aliyev’s Center. Amazing building was designed by famous designer Zaha Hadid.  One of the main features of the exhibition is that it presents all periods of the history of Azerbaijan. Thus, the exhibition includes unique examples of ancient crafts; in particular the Azerbaijani carpet weaving school, a special interest is the demonstration of copper products. Ancient Azerbaijani musical instruments are presented in the original – the sound form.
